Leading the Evolution of Transdermal Absorption
It was over 40 years ago that we at Lead Chemical first turned our attention to transdermal absorption. As a result of continued study and repeated experiments over many years, we have developed proprietary formulation technology, and obtained Japan's first approval to manufacture and sell patches (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic) that apply transdermal absorption technology. Since then, we have successfully changed the administration routes of oral medicines with excellent analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects to transdermal absorption, and have provided them to the front lines of medical care as medicines that are more beneficial for the patients.
From local action to systemic drugs, to applications for a variety of disease areas,transdermal medicines continue to evolve. We will continue working to develop new medicines, leveraging the potential of transdermal absorption, to contribute both to the improvement of the quality of life (QOL) of patients struggling with diseases and to the progress of medical treatments.
